Review: Pentel Slicci 0.4mm Lime Green

Pentel SlicciThis is a brilliant pen.  Lovely writing, lovely color.  Maybe I'm skewed a bit because I was writing and listening to the lyrics of one of my all-time favorite songs and it puts me in a fantastic mood (or I'm hopped up on Starbucks - one of the two), but I loved writing this, and once I was done I just stared at it happily.  This is why I have this blog.  I clearly have issues, such as staring at a piece of grid + lines paper with lime green ink saying "Damn that looks good!"

Pentel Slicci - 0.4mm - Lime Green - do it.

If there is one single song in my iTunes library that I could give a 6th star to it would be "Lines and Lines" by The Spinanes.  It's not my favorite song of all time, and they aren't my favorite band of all time, but I would be hard pressed to name one other song that stops me in my tracks each time I hear it and really gets me going like this one.  Over and over and over again.  They barely registered a blip on the alternative scene in the mid-90s, but they put some good music to disc during that time.

Their official video was removed from YouTube at some point last year, but I did find a version on MySpace Music:

Spinanes -- Lines and Lines

If the video isn't working for you (you know who you are you corporate types), here is the imeem link to the song itself.  It has about a minute and a half fuzz intro that isn't part of the video clip, so jump ahead if you are impatient.
