I tossed this pencil into the cart on a recent JetPens order really just because of the looks of it. It reminded me a lot of the ultra popular Pentel Sharp line, of which I have a few still floating around the house here somewhere. A few things make the Zebra Color Flight stand out though, not the least of which are the cool barrel colors.
It seems that white barrels don't get much exposure, or at least it seems that way to me. Go to your local office supply store and take a big picture glance at the shelves and tell me how many white barrel pens or pencils you see. Not too many I am guessing outside of the Bic Stic. I think they look sharp when done right, and while I was worried a bit about the sparkling aspect of this pencil, it really is hardly noticeable.
I also like the twist mechanism of the eraser. Eraser caps can be lost easily, so it is nice to be able to extend the eraser as needed without having to worry about misplacing the cap. This is a very lightweight pencil as well. If you have ever used the aforementioned Pentel Sharp, you would definitely be able to tell the weight difference between the two. The Zebra is a featherweight.
All in all, this is a well functioning, fun looking pencil. Not too shabby for $4.50.
