A black metal pen with an orange twist mechanism? Sign me up!
That’s all I needed when seeing the Machine Era Field Pen | Twist launch on Kickstarter. And it was great to know that a company as talented and respected as Machine Era was behind it.
The Twist is the latest in a long line of successful projects launched from their Richmond, Virginia machine shop. That’s right - all of their products are designed and manufactured on site by the Machine Era team.
While I initially fell in love with the Orange Twist, you can order this pen in all Black DLC coated, Stainless Steel, or Brass barrels. All of the pens ship with the excellent Itoya Aquaroller 0.7 mm gel ink refill, which is a Parker-style refill, so all similar refills are compatible.
The Machine Era Field Pen | Twist is available right now on Kickstarter for $65 in your choice of material and style. There are less than two weeks to go on this campaign, so if you like the looks of the Twist, it is time to jump on it.
